Download heat stress manage technical guide!

Stress is defined as a reaction mounted by an organism to stimuli
that disturb its normal physiological equilibrium or homeostasis.
Heat stress results from a negative balance between the net
amount of energy flowing from the body to the surrounding
environment and the amount of heat energy produced by the
organism.

Among domestic species, poultry seems to be particularly
sensitive to temperature-associated environmental challenges,
especially heat stress. Most poultry production methods in modern
farming systems involve large numbers of birds living in controlled
environments that favor high ambient temperatures, especially in
summer.
